The EU is the primary trade partner for every major MENA economy — Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, and Egypt all hold Association Agreements with preferential EU tariffs. Routiply classifies against CN 8-digit TARIC codes, guides EUR.1/REX certification, and helps you navigate EORI, CE marking, and REACH requirements.
The EU uses the Combined Nomenclature (CN) — an 8-digit code extending the WCO HS 6-digit standard. TARIC adds two further digits (9th and 10th) for EU-specific measures: anti-dumping duties, tariff quotas, export restrictions, and health/safety measures. Digits 1–6 mirror the global HS code; digits 7–8 are the EU CN extension; digits 9–10 are TARIC additions. The final 2 national digits (where used) belong to individual member states.
